The Sims 4 welcomes a new patch, here’s what’s changing

The Sims 4 has received a new update on consoles and PC. And it will help those who have encountered problems since the last Crystal Creations Item Kit DLC.

The Sims 4 was enriched with new content in February thanks to the Crystal Creation Stuff Pack. A unique DLC that allows players to create their own array of handcrafted jewelry. Accessories to give yourself more style, but which also have an influence on mood and relationships. But certain problems have been raised by the community and EA is providing concrete answers today.

A new downloadable update for The Sims 4

The latest update of The Sims 4 has angered the game community. The cause is a button which, according to Internet users, forces the credit card to heat up. Unfortunately, there is no mention of this in the patch deployed on March 6, 2024 on consoles and PC. Instead, EA announces that it has optimized performance and prevented the unintentional deletion of certain Emotions when loading the title.

If a tooltip appears when hovering over an item in the inventory, this should no longer cause Sims 4 to crash. The item selector UI should also no longer glitch during interactions like “Give” . Finally, once learned, the CracCrac interests (sexual relationships) of other Sims will be displayed in their profile. Check out the rest of the patch notes for the latest The Sims 4 update below.

Patch Notes 1.89 (consoles), 1.105.345.1020 (PC)

  • DLC For rent
    • Fixed an issue where it was impossible to open another Sim’s profile after listening to it, and therefore see the secrets learned about them
  • Crystal Creations Stuff
    • Fixed an issue where Sims’ bodies could gradually change size each time they added or removed a piece of crafted jewelry. This mainly affected teenagers, adults and seniors. However, be careful, because this Sims 4 update is not retroactive. You will then necessarily have to reload an older save to resolve this bug. The other option is to try changing your Sim, restoring their appearance, with a mirror, a dresser or the “Change Sim” action.
  • If you have the Get to Work DLC, there is something new for handcrafted jewelry. They can be sold directly in a store, without having to return them to the inventory of the Sim who owns the store
  • If a Sim dies with an artisanal piece of jewelry on them, it will then be dissociated from the deceased
  • Fixed some jewelry crafting combinations. Previously, a stone color might not match the crystal chosen during design
