The Sinking City: Frogwares wins its battle against Nacon and announces good news

Between Frogwares and its editors, it’s not often a beautiful love story. After setbacks with Focus Entertainment for games Sherlock Holmes, the Ukrainian developer entered into battle against Nacon about The Sinking City. The game was removed from the platforms’ stores by Frogwaresbefore being put back online by Nacon without the developer’s consent, and possibly with a pirated version.

At the start of 2024, the war seems to be finally over, because Frogwares announcement that he is now the sole distributor of The Sinking City on all platforms, even on PC where it will be able to make its return to various stores. The developer will also publish soon a new version on SteamL’Epic Games Store, GOG.com And Gamesplanetbut he still warns players of the first two platforms. Old saves will not be compatiblethe players Steam will be able to choose between the old version or the new one at launch, but Frogwares still invites players to finish their game before February 28, 2024. At worst, backups are made available to players to Steam and theEpic Games Store.
