“The situation is dramatic” – lockdown in Upper Austria and Salzburg from next week

Stelzer calls for further protective measures nationwide
In the current session of the state parliament in Upper Austria, Stelzer says: “We have had the lockdown for unvaccinated people since Monday – so very restrictive, tough measures are in place. The aim is to reduce the numbers quickly and acutely. But I also say: we don’t have a lot of leeway, not to say very, very little leeway. I am therefore in favor of taking further protective measures across Austria. If there is no decision on a nationwide lockdown tomorrow, Friday, Upper Austria and Salzburg will have to enter a lockdown of several weeks from Monday. It’s about protecting health and saving lives. We are currently in close coordination with Salzburg to prepare for that. “
