It is in this climate of race for innovation that the German operator Deutsche Telekom joined forces with the American founder Qualcomm and the company Brain.ai, which created intelligence artificial its specialty, to develop a concept of smartphone stripped of its applications and functioning as a personal assistant powered by AI, in the same way as a Siri, a Gemini or even Bixby at Samsung .
According to the Talk Android site, Deutsche Telekom’s AI phone, called T-Phone, would be designed to act in the user’s place, taking care of their daily needs and carrying out their requests. Thanks to the Brain.ai interface, the phone would be able to predict the user’s next actions, further simplifying the mobile experience. He could also carry out certain tasks alone, such as planning trips, making purchases, creating and editing videos or photos, or responding to emails.
This application-free terminal would also use the cloud for AI processing, ensuring optimal performance without requiring the power of a high-end processor and without affecting the duration battery life. Another version is reportedly in development, this time powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which will equip most premium smartphones from 2024. In this configuration, all processing would be carried out natively on the device faster and more efficiently.
