The Social Security and liberal doctors find an agreement providing for upgrades for general practitioners and specialists

Health insurance and liberal doctors signed, Friday, July 30, an agreement for nearly 800 million euros of investment with, in particular, more than 300 million euros of revaluations for general practitioners and specialists and 300 million for the development of digital health. Three unions, MG France (first union of general practitioners), Avenir Spé-Le Bloc (first union among specialists) and the Confederation of French medical unions (CSMF) have signed this new amendment to the medical agreement.

“This reflects broad support for this rider since these signatory unions represent nearly 54% of general practitioners and 61% of specialist physicians”, said Thomas Fatôme, director general of the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM).

Medicare has revised upwards the amount of revaluations for general practitioners, from 100 to 165 million euros, mainly intended for home visits to chronically ill patients over 80, including remuneration “Will be doubled”, according to a document consulted by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Ditto for specialists, whose envelope goes from 80 to 165 million.
