(Reuters) – The National Assembly on Friday passed the Social Security Financing Bill (PLFSS) for 2023 after the rejection of a motion of no confidence tabled by NUPES.

Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne had recourse to article 49.3 of the Constitution on Wednesday in order to have this bill adopted without a vote.

The motion of censure tabled by the left alliance in the National Assembly having received only 87 votes out of the 289 required for its adoption, the PLFSS is therefore considered to have been adopted in the final reading.
