GTA 6

As you may know, players from around the world were preparing to discover the first GTA 6 trailer together simultaneously at 3 p.m. this Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Unfortunately, the studio was not able to preserve the surprise for that long. than hoped, the fault of multiple leaks that occurred this weekend.

It all started with the publication this Friday on TikTok a short extract of 7 seconds of what seems to be a version in development of GTA 6. We could see in particular some parts of the city of Vice City and its buildings, the skybox as well as the rather busy traffic of the city.

The son of a Rockstar developer responsible for the leak?

The video quickly went viral and was shared massively on the Chinese social network. At the same time, several sites specializing in GTA and journalists agreed that these excerpts seemed authentic. In the process, the very reliable site GTABase.com shared other information on the potential origin of the leak.

Indeed, evidence suggests that the video comes from someone related to a Rockstar North developer, namely Aaron Garbut. More precisely, his son would be the culprit and would have created a new TikTok account to post the GTA 6 video and garner views. But again, this has not been confirmed by Rockstar and so we cannot 100% confirm the source of this embarrassing leak.

After this first setback, Rockstar’s nightmare continued with the publication on Monday on X of the full version of the GTA 6 trailer. Fatefully, the trailer was published by other accounts… To put an end to this rout, Rockstar finally chose to publish the GTA trailer in advance at 12:10 a.m. between the night of Monday and Tuesday, several hours before the initial schedule. Clearly, the American studio has never really been able to keep control of the communication around the title… We remember, for example, the publication of 90 GTA 6 videos after a hack in 2022.
