Fahri Yardim is in front of the camera for a new series. RTL + has announced “The Sources of Evil” as a crime thriller.

Fahri Yardim (42) is again in front of the camera for a series. The actor has been shooting for the since the end of August RTL+series “The Sources of Evil” in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. In the historical crime thriller, the actress Henriette Confurius (31) takes on a leading role alongside the native of Hamburg.

“The Sources of Evil”: That’s what it’s about

You play a pair of investigators who have to solve their first case together. “A dead girl with runes carved deep into her skin leads them into the German-German past, where they encounter a previously undiscovered, bizarre series of murders and become deeply involved in the case,” the announcement reads. The film will also be shot in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt. Catharina Junk and Elke Schuch are named as authors. Björn Vosgerau is responsible as producer and Stephan Rick (47, “Unter Neighbors”) directs. “The Sources of Evil” is expected to be released in 2023.

After TV appearances in series such as “König von Kreuzberg”, Yardim took on his first cinema roles such as in “Chiko”, “Keinohrhasen” and “66/67 – Fairplay war yesterday”. His other films include “Men’s Hearts”, “Kokowääh” or “Honey in the Head”. Since 2013 he has been investigating in Hamburg’s “Tatort” alongside Til Schweiger (58) and in the same year he celebrated international success with the movie “Der Medicus”. Since 2017 he has also been playing alongside Christian Ulmen (46) in the comedy series “Jerks.”. Yardim recently appeared on the Amazon Original Show “One Mic Stand,” where Tedros “Teddy” Teclebrhan (39) coached him before his first stand-up performance. Most recently, the actor was part of the rate panel for the ProSieben format “Who is stealing the show from me?”.
