PSG's last-minute signing would actually look great at Bayern Munich, but it turned out differently: Paris Saint-Germain signed the Brazilian Rafinha shortly before the transfer deadline. The brother of long-time Bayern professional Thiago is coming from FC Barcelona on a free transfer and will receive a contract until June 30, 2023. The contract of 27-year-old midfielder Rafinha with the Catalans ran until 2021.
Rafinha was trained at the FC Barcelona youth academy. In the professional team of the Spanish runner-up, he played 90 competitive games and scored twelve goals. However, the Brazilian international could not secure a permanent place in the star ensemble of the Messi club.
Rafinha's (artist) namesake Rafinha (the elder) had played himself up to fan favorite in eight years at FC Bayern and said goodbye to Brazil as seven-time German champions and Champions League winner in 2019.
