Bundesliga soccer club RB Leipzig is repositioning itself in its sporting leadership. As the club announced, sports director Markus Krösche forms the new management level together with Christopher Vivell and Florian Scholz. Vivell, most recently at Red Bull Salzburg, takes on the new role of technical director. Scholz acts as Commercial Director of Sports and continues to be responsible for communication as Chief Media Officer.

Marketing, which Scholz was previously responsible for, is now covered by Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Reichwald. In addition, Helge Riepenhof becomes the new director for medicine and sports science.

"This change is necessary in order to meet the increasingly complex requirements in terms of personnel and administration, and to ensure that we are future-proof," commented Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff about the changes in the management structure of Saxony.
