The starting signal has been given – the Ironman athletes are on the swim course

The 24th Ironman Austria takes place today, Sunday, in and around Klagenfurt. The winner is expected between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the finish area in the east bay of Klagenfurt.

The 24th Ironman in Klagenfurt started at 6.30 am sharp. The swim course stretches over 3.8 km from the lido in Klagenfurt through Lake Wörthersee in the direction of the Lend Canal. This forms the last third before you get on your bike in the transition area at the Seepark Hotel. From there, the bike route first takes you on the expressway towards St. Veit and from there via Feldkirchen back to Klagenfurt. Then it’s on to the second loop in the direction of Faak. The change to the marathon route takes place at around 11.45 a.m. Shortly before 3 p.m. the winner is expected in the finish area. This article will be updated regularly.
