PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The French State wants to take a 100% stake in the energy group EDF, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said on Thursday.
“I confirm to you today the intention of the State to hold 100% of the capital of EDF”, declared the tenant of Matignon during her general policy speech at the National Assembly. The State currently holds approximately 84% of the capital of the public group.
On the Paris Stock Exchange, EDF shares rose 4% to 8.17 euros.
