Bahn buys Siemens for 1.5 billion

the Deutsche Bahn can be 43 more trains of the new ICE 3neo from Siemens deliver. The order for around 1.5 billion euros was presented in Berlin by the CEOs of both companies, Richard Lutz (Bahn) and Roland Busch (Siemens).
The federal company is thus expanding its ICE fleet by a total of 73 type 3neo trains. In July 2020, 30 of these trains had already been ordered. As a result of the new order, Deutsche Bahn’s ICE fleet will grow to a total of around 450 trains by the end of the decade. The first ICE 3neo should be in use by the end of the year.
