Each year, Les Enfoirés highlight the immense work of the Restos du Coeur and their volunteers. In 2022, 142 million meals were distributed by the association.
Les Enfoirés are preparing to make their comeback on TF1 in March. The concert has already been recorded at the Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon in front of a conquered audience. Each year, the stars of Les Enfoirés meet to support the Restos du Coeur and call for donations. A necessary concert which allows to highlight the association and to collect important donations in order to help the most deprived. This year in particular, every donation will be welcome. And for good reason, Patrice Douret, the volunteer President of the Restos du Coeur explains to us: “There is a increase in precariousness that we have never experienced so quickly.” Patrice Douret says to himself “very worried” in front of “the daily emergency people who join the Restos du Coeur.“The association’s unconditional welcome is more relevant than ever and a major decision was taken this year. Patrice Douret announces: “This year, we made the political choice to take energy costs into account.”
The Restos du Coeur need donations and volunteers more than ever. The health crisis linked to Covid has had an effect on all associations and which has “felt at Restos du Coeur”, specifies the President of the association. If there is, for the moment, “no crisis in volunteering per se”, this one could happen because the Restos are going to have “need to open more evenings and weekends”, in order to accommodate ever more people.
