The surprising “stupidity” of Pierre Niney on the set of En Aparté

Guest of the show En Aparté, Tuesday February 22, Pierre Niney indulged in a little stupidity, causing the embarrassment of Nathalie Levy, the voice-over of the Canal + program.

One “kid stuff” which was itching. For several years, Pierre Niney has undoubtedly been one of the most prolific French actors in cinema. After being a resident of the Comédie Française, he gained notoriety in 2015 by playing Yves Saint Laurent in the cinema, a role for which he won the César for best actor. Holder of this coveted statuette, as it will also be next February 25 during the 47th Cesar ceremony led by Antoine de Caunes, there is one thing that the actor had never done with it: put it on fire. And for that, he felt himself grow wings in As an asideof which he was the guest, Tuesday, February 22.

I’ve been wanting to do something childish for a while now, something stupid, but I’m dying to put it on the firehe thus at the turn of his interview, before place the statuette in the fireplaceon the tray. “Look, is it going to be black?”, thus questioned Pierre Niney, causing the embarrassment of Nathalie Levy, the voice-over, who summoned him to withdraw the César, loaned for the emission. What push the actor a little more to commit his stupidity. “Yes but precisely, I have a feeling it’s going to piss you off a little bit, and I kinda want to seehe launched, before removing the object from the fire.

Pierre Niney’s tribute to Gaspard Ulliel

Delighted with his experience, Pierre Niney was able to see that the César is “hot and smells a little bit burnt”, before wondering about his subject. And it is neither more nor less than copper, covered with gilding, Nathalie Levy specifying that it is a statuette “made in France” which alone requires no less than fifteen hours of work. Three pm ? But it’s just time for the ceremonyjoked the actor, who then joined the show’s gray armchair to pay a nice tribute to Gaspard Ulliel, when he was asked about their respective incarnations of Yves Saint Laurent in the cinema. “He was always really elegant and benevolent, totally kind, and then he was someone with a very big heart, and it makes me really weird to talk about him in the past tense”he confided.
