For a few years now, the Wix platform has allowed users to create websites very simply, from a simple visual interface. Specialized in hosting and productivity solutions, the Swiss company Infomaniak is in turn launching into the creation of websites such as Site Creator
Like the competition, Site Creator is both easy to use and requires no
no technical skills. Three buttons allow
to access all the functionalities, with a modular interface in real time: menu
of the site, fonts, texts, media, backgrounds,
spacing…
The creation of a website accessible to all
Infomaniak’s objective is to allow anyone to create a website, with the possibility of including an online store, in a few minutes. The company indicates that the tool makes it possible to manage
the logistics and delivery costs of his shop in complete autonomy
but also to restrict its sales radius to specific locations.
For their part, the content of the pages is organized into blocks that can be modified as desired thanks to a simple drag and drop system. The tool also offers a panel of predefined content, to quickly develop (and always without any technical knowledge) pages that are both attractive, but also optimized to be displayed on all devices.
On the price side, Site Creator offers a free offer that allows you to create a very simple web page, in order to share a CV or even your social networks. For the creation of a “real” website, you have to pay (at least) €5.75/month, and benefit from web hosting, with a space of 250 to 500 GB and access to many themes. .
A Managed Cloud Service is also available, but you must then agree to avoid a bill of €29/month. The latter offers more features and performance, including an advanced cache system, a dedicated IP and up to 2 TB of SSD space.
Finally, Infomaniak specifies that the user’s data, as well as that of its customers, is hosted in Switzerland.

In terms of prices, Infomaniak does not have the most attractive offers on the web hosting market, especially since domain names are not included. However, the Swiss company has the advantage of fully managing its data centers and attaching great importance to ecology, which may appeal to some users. We appreciate the clear interface and the modular accommodation, although they will not suit all users.
