In mid-August, the shooting of the ninth season of the series "The Teacher" started. For leading actor Hendrik Duryn it is over afterwards.
One last time "The Teacher": Hendrik Duryn (52) surprisingly hangs up his cult role as Stefan Vollmer after 14 years and nine seasons. RTL announced this in a press release. According to the broadcaster, the 13 new episodes are expected to be broadcast in early 2021 (also via TVNow). For her main actor, who acted as the casual-cool teacher in the series, that's over afterwards. Duryn's exit, however, will not be the end of "The Teacher". RTL wants to continue the series together with Sony. More has not yet been revealed.

On the part of the production there were only words of praise for the actor: "Hendrik Duryn was and is largely responsible for this success. We are very grateful for everything he has given the teacher and for his loyalty to the series and the station. "
The shooting of season nine will continue in the new production facility in Bonn until the beginning of 2021. Another RTL engagement for Duryn also does not seem to be ruled out. "We very much regret that Hendrik is leaving the series, but at the same time we are pleased that we are already in talks with him about a new collaboration," reveals Frauke Neeb and Hauke Bartel, Head of Fiction Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland.
