THE connected thermostats allow you to configure optimal operating times for your heating on your smartphone, depending on the time of day or the weather. And in fact, according to the government, these devices make it possible tosave up to 15% on the final electricity bill.

The State will finance the installation of connected thermostats to combat overheating

Despite this, few consumers are equipped with them, lack of adequate information on their advantages and their use, or simply because of the high price of this technology. Heating more intelligently requires spending up to several thousand euros. As part of the energy sobriety plan, the government will therefore subsidize the purchase and installation of radiator programming thermostats, in addition to limiting the increase in the price of electricity to 10% of its current rate.

He thus announced that from 2024, French people who equip themselves with a connected thermostat will be supported up to 50% of the final bill. Will this measure be enough to push citizens to invest in devices that will prevent them from overconsumption of heating ? As is often the case, those who probably need it most may not be able to pay the 400 to 500 € out of their pocket necessary, despite state funding. Not even to mention those who do not want to have the interior temperature of their home dictated to them.
