With its top speed of 90 km / h, it can mess her hair up if not trip her up in any case, subject to paying twice the price…

The little Microlino, a tiny electric city car designed in Switzerland by Micro Mobility Systems since 2016 but finally born in Italy in 2021, has just found the road that leads it to France: it will land in Paris, Lyon, Monaco and Fréjus in the coming weeks.

Some French cities, including Lyon and Paris, to start

This was announced by Merlin Ouboter, co-founder of Micro:

“We are very excited about this launch, as we believe France will be one of our biggest markets in Europe. Pre-orders are open and deliveries will begin in the coming weeks, with the first sites in Paris, Lyon, Monaco and Fréjus; other cities will soon follow”.

Indeed, France could be a buoyant market for this Microlino: the latest data from the ACEA (Association of European Automobile Manufacturers) has revealed the enthusiasm of the French for electric cars since the beginning of 2023.

The only certainty for the moment, the Swiss car made in Italy will therefore come to roll on the land of another urban electric vehicle, the Citroën Ami. In terms of prices, however, the two small cars are not really in the same category…

A bill for the less salty!

Indeed, while the Ami de Citroën costs between 7,990 euros and 9,190 euros depending on the version (ecological bonus not deducted; between 7,090 euros and 8,290 euros with bonus included), the entry ticket to obtain a Microlino is at least 17,990 euros!

This substantial amount applies to the Urban edition. Micro currently offers four versions: Dolce, Competizione and Pioneer Series editions (limited to the first 999 Microlino produced) complete the offer, starting at 19,990 euros, 21,990 euros and 22,990 euros respectively.

Regarding the characteristics, Micro offers three different battery capacities: 6 kilowatt hours (kWh), 10.5 kWh and 14 kWh. According to the brand, the best grants 230 kilometers of autonomy, the smallest 91 kilometers.

As often, certain options are only offered for certain editions; same for the colors. The Urban, for example, is offered in “White Santorini” at the base, but can be painted in “Orange Amsterdam” only, for an extension of 399 euros. The top model, the Dolce, offers more shades, including Menthe Paris (+ 799 euros).

Finally, in his defense, note that the Microlino is faster than the Citroën Ami. It is indeed capable of going up to 90 km / h (17 horsepower, torque of 89 Nm), while the Citroën car, which does not require a license, does not exceed 45 km / h in principle.
