The government’s fuel allowance is far from full. This exceptional aid of 100 euros intended for 10 million individuals has, for the moment, been requested by only half of the potential beneficiaries.
According to a press release issued Monday by the Minister of the Economy, only 5.17 million requests have already been made since the online form ddie. In total, the number of indemnities paid or in the process of being paid is 3.3 million. A small number of payments are pending due to the absence of the beneficiary’s RIB, specifies the Minister of the Economy.
A whirlwind start
Yet the launch of aid on January 16 got off to a good start. In just three hours, 250,000 French people had requested it on the impots.gouv.fr site.
According to data provided by the General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFiP), the potential beneficiaries of the fuel allowance who have still not come forward are mainly in Ile-de-France.
Thus, only 5% of eligible Parisians have claimed it. This is the lowest percentage for a department. Behind, we find Hauts-de-Seine (15%), Seine-Saint-Denis (19%), Val-de-Marne (19%) and Val-d’Oise (28%). After these 5 Ile-de-France departments, there is Haute-Corse (29%).

A deadline pushes back to the end of March
To take advantage of this aid, your reference tax income must be less than 14,700 euros in 2021, i.e. 1,314 euros net per month for a single person, or 3,941 euros for a couple with two children.
