Saving money on your gas bill is possible. With the energy mediator’s comparator, MoneyVox has established a top 5 of the best offers on the market in September. Here is the result!
The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) published its new price benchmark for the month of October last weekend. This indicative price intended for consumers and suppliers, who can index their offers, has replaced the regulated gas tariff (TRVG) since July.
Thus, in September, the recommended average price per kilowatt hour for a home heated with gas is 0.08218 euros/kWh and 0.10512 euros/kWh for a hot water and cooking home. As for subscription, the recommended annual price is respectively 102.94 euros and 257.18 euros, depending on the formula chosen.
To establish its top 5 best offers on the market, MoneyVox has chosen to use the CRE’s standard profiles and pass them to the energy mediator’s comparator:
a typical customer at the Engie Base regulation rate with an annual consumption of 750 kWh (cooking use),
a typical customer at rate B1 (level 2) with an annual consumption of 17,000 kWh (heating use).
For the first customer, the mediator’s comparator offers 23 offers. First observation, since last month, the price has fallen by … 1 euro over a year. It should also rise again in October.
The controversial supplier for its commercial practices, Ohm is at the head of the Top 5 and even places a second offer in 4th position. Indeed, even after a year when the welcome promotion no longer works, the current price offered by Ohm remains very attractive. Be careful though: Prices may be revised by the supplier who must inform the Customer at least one month before the revision is applied. The Customer then has the option of canceling his Offer, warns Ohm, who is used to this type of practice and significant price increases in the heart of winter.
