A little over 4 years after its announcement, the second part of the Senua saga seems about to arrive. Present at the Game Awards, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 reveals a little more about its universe and concludes with a release window for 2024. No specific date, but the Ninja Theory title will be available on PC and Xbox Series, with a presence on Game Pass from day one.
The studio took advantage of its presence during the event to present a new trailer which reveals a lot of things. Between action and narration, the universe of Hellblade 2 is just as dark as its predecessor. And there was no question of softening the tone, since violence and psychological horror are still present. Senua’s fight for survival is an adventure full of both hope and heartbreak, to which the music pays a perfect tribute.
Even if you still have to wait many months before you can get your hands on the game, Ninja Theory knows how to create anticipation. Melina Juergens’ performance as Senua is once again stunning during these few scenes. A precision made possible by the studio’s work on the graphic quality of the title. It remains to be seen whether it will not suffer from some performance issues upon release.
