The Trool Fair opens its doors again on Dofus

[ad_1]

The 20th anniversary of Dofus allowed us to collect some data on the Trool Fair, but above all to take a last tour of this area before its big change. For patch 2.73, the last update of the Flash version, the funfair is getting a makeover. Attractions, challenges, rewards and shows are bringing this deserted place back to life. And of course, the success of the Gladiatrool pushed Ankama to introduce it here too.

The revival of the Trool Fair

Concretely, the entire Trool Fair will be entitled to a major overhaul on Dofus. Both in what it offers and in its decorations and layout. And it starts with a Zaap installed at the entrance to the funfair to get there more easily. After being abandoned at the launch of version 2.0 due to technical difficulties, everything is being refurbished so that the attractions work again. New ones will also appear.

Attractions already present on Dofus Retro are therefore taken up with improved mechanics. This also means that there will be a whole bunch of rewards at stake. These can be cosmetics, titles, consumables… For this, a new system is put in place. After purchasing a ticket at the entrance, the player can enjoy the different attractions. At the end of one of them, he has a chance to win common or specific tokens. The first allow access to general rewards from the fair, while the others are used to obtain gifts linked to the attraction.

The appearance of the Gladiatrool also allows for a new major challenge. Unfortunately, this one will not be available as soon as patch 2.73 is released since it is closely linked to Unity. However, there should be plenty to do before its arrival with all the attractions to discover and the rewards to obtain. But if you are itching to try out atypical fights, the Gladiatrool will be present in the Unity beta.

A gradual deployment

In terms of dates, Ankama is offering us a launch in several stages. This will begin on September 12 with the arrival of this new Trool Fair on the beta servers of Dofus Unity. The following week, on September 17th, patch 2.73 will be implemented on Flash servers. This will also mark the end of the 20th anniversary event. Then, we will have to wait until November 13th to discover adjustments and additions to Unity. Finally, in December, when Unity will be officially launched and
Dofus will have only this engine, the Gladiatrool will open its doors.

  • September 12 – Trool Fair Available on Unity Beta
  • September 17 – Trool Fair available on Flash servers
  • November 13 – Adjustments and additions to the Unity beta
  • December – Gladiatrool opens on official servers

Gladiatrool, a revolution that must wait

If Gladiatrool is not introduced on September 17 on Flash, it is because it relies on technological tools that are not compatible. Ankama has taken advantage of its new engine to offer new mechanics in its gameplay. This is notably reflected by the possibility of choosing bonuses and strengthening your character during a fight. Or even random or predetermined events that are not linked to an entity. For this reason, we will have to wait for the deployment of Unity in December to benefit from it.
