The Tunisian president dissolves the Superior Council of the Judiciary

TUNIS, Feb 6 (Reuters) – Tunisian President Kas Saed announced on Sunday the dissolution of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, the body that guarantees the proper functioning of justice and the independence of the judiciary in Tunisia.

Kas Saed said the Council was a thing of the past and would issue a temporary decree on it. No further details regarding this decree were given. (Report Tarek Amara; French version Camille Raynaud)
