United Auto Workers leaders will meet with local union officials Saturday to hammer out a tentative deal that will include reopening Chrysler’s Stellantis STLAM.MI assembly plant in Illinois, two people said aware of the situation.
Stellantis closed its Belvidere, Illinois, assembly plant earlier this year, leaving 1,300 workers out of work.
