A new series The Office is taking shape with the original creator of the US version, Greg Daniels. And according to Deadline, it’s progressing very well since the director, producer and screenwriter – who wrote episodes for The Simpsons – is working on it with several other authors. But the real information provided here is that Greg Daniels probably designated Michael Koman as co-creator. The director of the docu-reality comedy Nathan For You where a young graduate helps companies in difficulty, using less conventional methods than usual.
According to Deadline, this new series would not be a reboot of The Office, but is more thought of as a continuation of this universe. The show would take place in the same world, but there would be a new office with new characters. Some will therefore be relieved to see that there is no question of a reboot, even if these details will continue to divide. There is perhaps a chance that it will be a success because Michael Korman has already been rewarded for his writing, and had great critical success with Nathan For You.
