So many are those who have decided to give up lipstick for a while to avoid these unsightly traces of makeup, most are starting to find the time long by doing without this essential makeup product, and diehards with colored lips still struggle to get rid of their darling beauty product a few days a week.

To stay well protected without sacrificing your beauty, there are however a few tips: bet on a transfer-free lipstick specially designed to avoid staining anything that comes into contact with your lips once they are made up. , or even simpler, make any lipstick more resistant to wearing a mask!

If you opt for the second option, then you will certainly be interested in the beauty trick that has gone viral by Aalia, a make-up artist better known under the nickname _aaliaaaa on the social network TikTok, who delivered her tip unstoppable to hold your lipstick under the mask. Her beauty video has accumulated no less than 47.9K likes as of the date of this writing, proof that it meets one of our daily needs and that it seems to work according to the opinions left by beauty fans. who have tried (and liked) it on TikTok.

In this video, listed under the hashtag #maskproofmakeup (understand mask-resistant makeup) – which also highlights this new challenge facing makeup products today – makeup artist Aalia shows us how she returns her rouge to lips resistant to wearing a mask. More precisely, she takes a paper handkerchief and separates the different layers of paper from it to keep only one, before applying the latter delicately against her lips by tapping on it with her fingers, and taking a brush and a little translucent loose powder to put on top. Once done, she removes the handkerchief and then touches her mouth with her fingers to prove to us that her lipstick has become transfer-free.

How it works ?

Exactly like when you set your foundation with your powder or almost! Indeed, the loose powder acts here as a fixative for the lipstick formula which makes up the lips, except that the make-up artist uses a handkerchief which “filters” the powder to make sure not to apply it in excess. which could alter the color or the final rendering of your lipstick despite the transparency and finesse of the powder. Specifically, it's the tiny holes in the tissue that let in just enough powder to set your lipstick. Hence the fact that the make-up artist keeps a single layer of tissue paper so that the thickness of the tissue does not prevent the free formula of the powder from passing through to settle on the lips.
In addition, the handkerchief thus applied to the lips during the powder exposure time has the advantage of collecting excess lipstick before you put your mask on your face. There is therefore less risk of it leaving marks on the inside of the fabric.

One thing to know, however, if you're a fan of glossy lipsticks: this beauty tip mattifies lipstick.
