THQ Nordic and KITE Gamesalready at the origin of Sudden Strike 4just unveiled today The Valiant, a real-time strategy game with role-playing mechanics set in the 13th centuryfor tactical battles between several small units of knights.
The Valiant will follow the story of Theodoric of Akenburga war-weary former crusader who will still have to take up arms again. 15 years after his friend Ulrich de Grevel got his hands on a fragment of the stick ofAarona young monk tells him that this ancient artifact holds a power far too powerful for mortals, and Ulrich is looking for the other pieces to wield that power and shake the world. Theodoric will therefore have to find the missing fragments before his former friend, and it will be necessary to travel through Europe and the Middle East for this, recruiting other knights as Reinhard of Campidoine of the order of the Teutonic Knights or the mercenary Grimhild Eidottr. The Valiant will feature a story-based single-player campaign, but also two multiplayer modescompetitive and cooperative, with a mode Last Man Standing with three players where it will be necessary to unite to resist against hordes of enemies, including bosses. On the side of pvp, it will be 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 scenarios with control points to capture. Here are some key points of the game:
- Squad-based RTS with various units, from tough Swashbucklers to fast Cavaliers;
- Send your Hero and Auxiliary squads on 15 exciting and carefully crafted single-player missions, each with its own cutscenes, narrative logs, difficulty levels, and more.
- Over 5 heroic squads each featuring 3 different skill trees, with unique active and passive skills to select from to level up your heroes;
- Wide variety of weapons and armor to collect and equip throughout the campaign, with their own stats and skills;
- Combine hero skills and weapons/gear to expand the possibilities for your heroes;
- Play in 3-player co-op with your friends in “To the Last” mode against hordes of enemies, to level up your knights and unlock new skills and cosmetic options;
- Compete in various PvP game modes, 1v1 or 2v2, with unique progression and special rewards for ranked play.
