The dad did not expect to have to comfort his 3-year-old son because of his teacher. The latter made a remark to him about his nail polish but the dad had not said his last word.

Gender stereotypes die hard, and even more so among children. If more and more parents are opting for gender-neutral education, others are still quite resistant to this model. And it even happens that they allow remarks that can hurt. This is what happened to a little boy only 3 years old who had gone to school with nail polish.

He is in the first year of kindergarten and his teacher managed to bring tears to his eyes because of an inappropriate remark. The polish Ashton was wearing was obviously not to his liking, so she told him that “varnish is only for girls”. When he told this story to his dad, Christian, he decided not to let it go and to transform her son’s sadness into a joyful moment. He then recounted what happened in a video he posted on Tik Tok and which has had 4 million views. Internet users were touched by the dad’s adorable reaction.
