The Victoria Beckham x Mango collection is out, here are our favorite pieces for a Riviera Chic-style spring: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

On the one hand, we have Mango which is celebrating its fortieth anniversary. On the other, Victoria Beckham who has just celebrated her fiftieth birthday, surrounded by her husband and her Spice Girls crew. A few days later, the festivities give rise to a ready-to-wear collaboration with a contemporary, feminine and daring spirit. After the fashion designer Camille Charrière, the Californian brand Simon Miller and the content creator Jen Ceballos, the Inditex group brand called on the undeniable talent of the British designer, at the head of her eponymous label since 2008. Thus, Victoria Beckham has imagined around fifty pieces, ranging from 50 euros to 300 euros, which resonate in a modern woman imbued with freedom. Cut out shirt with trompe l’oeil tie, crochet dress and skirt with Bardot inspirations, unstructured trench coat or even jewelry that mixes gold and silver… Victoria Beckham has here deconstructed and given a contemporary lease of life to the essentials of a woman’s wardrobe.

A collection that Victoria Beckham wanted inspired by the 70s

To the delight of fans of quiet luxury, Victoria Beckham has transposed her sober, elegant and minimalist style into this new collection. The pieces are intended to be effortless and efficient, between timeless officewear and voluptuously explosive details. The one we nickname Posh was inspired by the emblematic The swimming pool by Jacques Deray (1969) and more precisely by Jane Birkin, revealed to the general public with the role of the disturbing Penelope. So, we like to imagine ourselves wearing one of the suits from the collection, before slipping into a vaporous draped dress. Limited, the colors are both raw with black and off-white, and soft with lots of ecru and pastels, including a peach dress which highlights the trend of the year.

A clever balance of masculine and feminine, between tailoring and sensuality

The collection includes everyday clothing with a resolutely modern style, like his four suit blazers, sometimes classic, sometimes refined without seams. In the same line, there are pants, straight, suit, pleated… A must-have in the British wardrobe, the trench coat adapts to the summer season by becoming cropped and in linen, alongside a more traditional version to the volumes worked. Victoria Beckham has dived into the men’s classics by imagining a polo-inspired pullover and oversized, silk or transparent shirts, depending on your preferences. The line also does the emphasis on feminine and evocative cuts, with bodysuits, bare backs, openings, ruffles and suggestive slits. We find an ode to lingerie, with bras as well as a top and a silk top. Accessories are not left out with a pair of sandals with dizzying heels, two belts, three bags and jewelry. The designer has designed a whole series of combined bracelets and necklaces, which combine gold and silver, large chains and delicate links, further proof of her mastery of balance.

With this collaboration, the Iberian brand and Victoria Beckham have created an ideal line for the sunny days ahead; the opportunity to grab essential pieces and refresh your classics. The designer pays homage to the incandescence of the muses of the seventies with a Riviera Chic aesthetic and drops us off at the same time on the Madrague square.
