It is no longer mandatory to prove a minimum income of 1,200 euros in order to benefit from the Visa Classic card at BforBank for free.
Good news for low-income individuals: BforBank has just remove the access condition for their Visa Classic card. If many online banks allow you to open a bank account for free and without justifying a certain level of income, this was not yet the case with the online subsidiary of Crédit Agricole.
Open a BforBank account
Until now at BforBank, the three bank account offers with Visa card (Classic, Premier or Infinite) were accessible subject to income; 1200 euros net monthly for the classic card, as a reminder. From now on, no minimum income will be required to qualify for an immediate debit Visa Classic card. For the Visa Premier and the Visa Infinite, it is always necessary to have respectively at least 1600euros and 4000euros net monthly for an individual account.
There condition of use to take advantage of the free card remains in force. Thus, it is necessary to make at least 3 card payments per quarter, so as not to be billed 6 euros in fees.
BforBank customers also benefit from the absence of account maintenance fees and intervention commission, and free access to all day-to-day transactions: account consultation and management from the application, out-of-the-box withdrawals (in the euro zone ), transfers and direct debits, issuance of a bank check, etc.
80euros offered with a Visa card
Until May 31, 2023, BforBank grants a bonus of 80 euros (1) for any first opening of an individual or joint current account, with the order of a Visa card. As a reminder, in addition to the free Visa Classic and Visa Premier cards (subject to use), it is also possible to opt for a Visa Infinite card for 200 euros per year.
To take advantage of the offer, the card must be activated at the latest in the month following the opening of the account. The account must also remain open for at least one year from its opening date.
The BforBank account
(1) The premium is paid once, into the bank account opened, within 15 days following the activation of the card. The new customer must not have closed a BforBank account in the last 3 years.
