While The Visitor from the Future, the film, is currently to be seen in the cinema, we offer you a little history reading to deepen the subject (if you haven’t already!). Because before being adapted on the big screen, the cult web-series, so strong in its success, had already found its way on paper.
Announced in 2012 then released in 2013, the comic strip The Visitor from the Future: Chosen of the Godswritten by François Descraques and drawn by Gosh, takes place between season 1 and season 2.
In it, upset by Raph’s refusal to help him, the Visitor decides to put together a new team and seeks new companions among great historical names in order to go on a mission and save the world. But not everything goes as planned…
After the filming of season 4, Slimane-Baptiste Berhoun begins to write a sequel but in the form of a novel this time, in collaboration with François Descraques. Entitled The Visitor from the Future: The Packthe book was published on June 19, 2015 in paper version.
In this book, we go back in time to discover the Visitor’s childhood, a youth constructed from brief ideas and flashbacks that François Descraques had imagined for the series but which he ultimately never realized.
Finally, the new series The Visitor from the Future: The Temporal Squad was born in 2016 in the form of manga (or manfra with us).
Designed by Guillaume Lapeyre and Alexandre Desmassias and scripted by François Descraques, we follow the adventures of the Temporal Brigade after season 4 and The pack. Three volumes make up this series, available here in its entirety, which ended in July 2018.
