Already available since April in China and launched last month in other Asian countries, the vivo X80 Pro becomes official in France. And as much to say that the manufacturer is very, very confident in its new flagship.
The vivo X80 Pro will unfortunately launch without its little brother, which may displease some, given the extremely prohibitive price that vivo will ask for on June 30.
A powerful camera
vivo is going upmarket this year. With the X80 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer wants to rise to the level of the best in photography, and gives itself the means to achieve its ambitions.
Always a partner of Zeiss, which calibrates the various optics of the device, vivo is also testing its new ISP V1+, which should improve the general rendering of the photos compared to the on-board solution from Qualcomm.
The photo part of the X80 Pro breaks down as follows:

- 48MP ultra wide-angle (Sony IMX598; 1/2″; ƒ/2.2 aperture)

A particularly muscular configuration, which highlights a Samsung sensor customized and exclusive to the smartphone. Note also that the gimbal stabilizer changes dairy here and goes to the 2x telephoto lens, described by vivo as a “portrait lens”.
In photos, vivo also seeks to fly in the feathers of Apple with its Cinematic mode, which replicates a portrait effect and applies a cinematic aspect ratio of 2:39:1.
A flagship overpowered and with a unique fingerprint sensor
vivo does not do things by halves. Its X80 Pro lacks absolutely nothing. Its technical sheet is fully loaded, and is intended to offer us the best.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.67 “LTPO 2.0 AMOLED screen, capable of oscillating its display frequency between 1 and 120 Hz. You can also choose between an FHD + and QHD + definition.
Even more intriguingly, the X80 Pro is the very first smartphone from the brand to adopt the manufacturer’s new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. 11% larger than the average, it would unlock your phone in just 0.2 seconds, and only have to put your finger down once to register it in the smartphone. No more strange gymnastics of putting and raising your thumb on the sensor during configuration.
Moreover, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB of UFS 3.1 ROM, a 4700 mAh battery rechargeable at 80 W (charger included) and two speakers.
The vivo X80 Pro allows wireless charging at 50 W, is IP68 certified and the manufacturer guarantees 3 years of software support.
vivo X80 Pro: price and availability
The vivo X80 Pro will be available on June 30 in a unique color: cosmic black. A single configuration will also be offered, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. All for the trifle of 1299 €. Double the X60 Pro launched last year.
