Saturday February 6, 2021, The Voice returned to TF1 for a tenth season, full of new features. In addition to the arrival of Vianney among the team of coaches alongside Florent Pagny, Amel Bent and Marc Lavoine, the tele-hook that revealed Louane, Kendji Girac or even the Fréro Delavega had to reinvent itself for this very special anniversary. Indeed, the year 2020 was marked by the coronavirus epidemic and many shows, like Top chef, were forced to adapt. As the edition of the Parisian / Today in France from Saturday February 6, 2021, the star show of TF1 was forced to review the copy to avoid the problems encountered last year. Remember: because of the border closures, coach Lara Fabian, then confined to Quebec, was forced to intervene by videoconference. More recently, in The Voice Kids, it was Jenifer, then positive for Covid-19, who had to use the same stratagem.
A very secure "The Voice": no audience and no relatives
"From the start, we knew that there had to be as few people as possible on the set to reduce the risks", confides Pascal Guix, the artistic producer, who thus reveals thatthere will be no audience in the studio. But that's not all: the candidates will not be accompanied by their relatives, while each year, this gave rise to cult scenes. Only minors were entitled to the presence of a parent. For the others, they will use video. But the production still found a way to take care of its candidates: "We have strengthened the team of talent coordinators who accompany them from start to finish so that they do not feel alone". Drastic measures, of course, but which ultimately allowed everything to go as healthily as possible. “Everyone was super happy to be there singing and listening to live music. If a coach or team member had caught the Covid it would have had dramatic consequences… but we did!”, welcomes Pascal Guix, visibly proud to launch this somewhat special tenth season.
