The new season arrives in a few weeks on TF1, but Gala.fr had the chance to see the first images. And it promises to be explosive, with in particular a surprise coach, Nolwenn Leroy.
We didn’t expect it, but The Voice still manages to renew itself! The TF1 program which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year with The Voice All Stars, won by Anne Sila, has therefore made call to Nolwenn Leroy. The singer with a 20-year career appears as the surprise coach of the season, and for good reason, the four main coaches (Amel Bent, Marc Lavoine, Vianney and Florent Pagny) do not know that a fifth person is hidden in a room in the studio.
And the mayonnaise takes! In this hidden room, Nolwenn Leroy follows the recording of the blind audition, and has the possibility of buzzer to form his own team of only four talents. The coach only has the possibility of recovering the talents eliminated by his comrades. What an emotional roller coaster for talent!
Finally, another novelty this season, no more knockouts but directly cross-battles, to the delight of Florent Pagny and Amel Bent, marked by this formidable ordeal. Let’s also note the arrival of the Super Cross-Battles which will make it possible to reach the semi-final.

Vianney’s doubts
“The four coaches have the ability to renew the show. They revived something by their authenticity,” assures Rémi Faure, TF1’s Flow Programs Director, during the press conference. And it’s true. Florent Pagny and Vianney pinning each other. Nolwenn Leroy who is surprised by the choices of his comrades. Tasty moments on screen.
If Florent Pagny returns for yet another season, happy to go back in search of voices. But Vianney himself asked himself the question of to know whether or not he was not going to make the season too much, as he confided during the press conference. The singer who became a dad in the fall of 2021 says he is overjoyed to find his chair, strong from the encounters he was able to make during the last season.
Marc Lavoine, for his part, does not hide being “very happy” to come back, and don’t forget to salute the teams on the show who spoil the coaches. “I am happy to be in this house!“
Let’s talk about the talents of season 11
The “cast is extraordinary and different“, explains Rémi Faure. And to continue: “We took slaps from the universe“. We confirm. The styles are different and varied, the personalities too. It sings of Conchita Wurst (Rise like a phoenix), by Alain Souchon (Jim’s ballad), James Brown (It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World)… They are young, sometimes less, but the voices are there, a new time. After an explosive tenth season, this new vintage promises to be exceptional.
And this year, the coaches blew up the teams, not hesitating to take on more talent than expected. And surprise, Marc Lavoine even left his chair for a few moments to launch into a duet with a talent with a tasty voice. We don’t tell you more.
Why is Nolwenn Leroy a surprise coach?
“We started from a frustration of Florent Pagny“, launches Pascal Guix, the artistic producer of the program, during the press conference. And that Florent Pagny does not cut it: “It’s been a few seasons that we haven’t taken talents, and when we turn around, we thought we might be wrong. We talked about it between us, and we didn’t know that the idea was going to germinate.”
How will it be for Nolwenn Leroy? Once she has her four talents, she will organize two battles, and the two winners will join the teams of other coaches: Amel Bent, Florent Pagny, Vianney or Marc Lavoine. The role of the winner Star Academy 2 will stop there, but it is enough to spice up the show. “She did a great job, she was a passionate and invested coach“, concludes Pascal Guix.
