Yesterday, Saturday February 24, 2024, TF1 broadcast a new episode of the blind auditions of The Voice. During this evening, viewers had the opportunity to discover the voices of new talents but were also surprised by the reaction of one of the coaches to a candidate whom they considered brilliant. Indeed, on X, former Twitter, the reactions were strong and many accused Mika of having been too harsh with Davy who sang so well. The singer of Lebanese origin has never hidden his high standards and his attention to detail. So he once again proved it last night, sitting in his red armchair, on TF1.

Davy, financial management controller during the week and artist during the weekend, appeared on stage to perform Feel good by Nina Simone, a classic sung time and time again throughout the seasons. This choice unfortunately did not convince the members of the jury, worse, it made them not want to give the candidate a chance. Whether it is Mika, Zazie, Vianney or even Bigflo & Oli, the coaches each judged that this interpretation of Feel good was one too many. “I don’t like this song. We hear it too much“, Mika first commented. And Zazie replied: “Yes me too“.”I admit, I’m sick of this songI tell you“, Vianney then added. On X, former Twitter, Internet users expressed their surprise at the fact that no one turned around. “Are you serious, coaches? Because of his choice of song you don’t take Davy? You don’t know what talent you just missed out on!“, said a Twitter user.

Mika, too hard?

And others added: “You’ll be biting your fingers for missing out on a voice as powerful as Davy’s!“, “There for Davy I am very very disappointed. This is the injustice of the evening“. Camille Lellouche, who has the possibility of drafting certain candidates, was also not seduced by Davy’s performance… On Relax, Take it easy : “Mika, he always knows how to analyze people and future talents well in The Voice, he knows how to say the right words 🙂 he’s THE BEST COACH”.

Mika sometimes has harsh words towards certain candidates, like towards the duo Twinsello who came to sing One day I will marry an angel.”I really felt like you were talking to your dentist.” commented Mika following their performance. Zazie then tried to catch up, in vain: “You’re still tough.” While Vianney also hoped temper his colleague’s remarks by qualifying the passage of the duo “super charming”, Mika hit the nail on the head.Charming, but in an elevator (…) it was really elevator music”, he concluded without taking a pinch of salt.

If he can be judged as too harsh, Mika also has an ear for knowing how to recognize talents and he did not miss a chance by looking back at the passage of Kendji Girac whose success we know today or even on the Brother Delavega.

With this third episode of the blind auditions of The Voice presented by Nikos Aliagas, TF1 was able to win over viewers. There were no less than 3.7 million behind their screens. According to Pure media, the evening was followed by 19.5% of viewers present in front of their screens until 10:20 p.m., for a market share of 29.8% among women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty. Last week, The Voice had dominated its competitors by attracting, this time, 3.99 million viewers in front of their TV in the first part of the evening, an audience share of 20.9%.
