The final of “The Voice Kids” will take place on April 25th. Mike Singer and Zoe Wees prove that you can be successful even without a win.

On April 25, “The Voice Kids” at 8:15 pm on Sat.1 will decide which young talent will win the ninth season of the vocal show. Former participants such as Mike Singer (21, “Paranoid !?”) or Carlotta Truman (21) prove that the music show can also be a real career springboard for the youngest – and not even a profit is necessary for this.

Mike Singer

One of the most famous former “The Voice Kids” participants is Mike Singer. The son of Russian-German parents only made it to the second round of the music show in 2013. The then 13-year-old got a place in the team of coach Lena Meyer-Landrut (29) in the blind auditions of the first season. However, he had to resign this again in the subsequent battles. It didn’t hurt Singer. A year later, he released his English-language debut album and increasingly became a social media star. His three following albums “Karma” (2017), “Deja Vu” (2018) and “Trip” (2019) all made it to number one in the German album charts. The 21-year-old also took second place in “The Masked Singer” in 2020 dressed as a cuddle and sat on the jury for the 18th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in 2021.

Lukas Rieger

Lukas Rieger (21) made a similar journey. He participated in the second season. Like Singer, the young musician retired after the blind auditions and joining “Team Lena” in the second round. But he also knew how to build up a large fan base on YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and Co., which helped him to his current success. With “Compass” (2016), “Code” (2018) and “Justice” (2019) the artist has now released three studio albums. In 2019 Rieger also took part in “Let’s Dance”, where he was the third celebrity to leave.

Zoe Wees

Not many 18-year-olds can claim to have fans like Ed Sheeran (30, “x”), Jessie J (33) or Sam Smith (28) – Zoe Wees certainly can. She fought her way into the third round of the music show in 2017 in “Team Sasha”, where she convinced Sheeran of her talent. “Zoe has a voice that is absolutely forward, and she has a special presence,” enthused the Briton at the time. With “Control” she landed a hit in 2020, which helped her to fame beyond the German borders. In addition to her chart successes in this country, the Hamburg native was also able to enjoy the gold status of her song in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Norway and Italy. She also appeared in 2021 with Sam Smith at a streaming concert at Abbey Road Studios and on the US show “The Late Late Show with James Corden”.

Mimi & Josy

The sisters Mimi and Josefin Vogler, Mimi & Josy for short, won a victory for “The Voice Kids” in 2019. Together with The BossHoss, they won the seventh season of the show. The coaches then recorded the song “Little Help” with the two women from Augsburg, which also made it into the German, Austrian and Swiss charts. But that’s not all: The sister duo was allowed to perform as the opening act for Michael Patrick Kelly (43) in front of 100,000 visitors at Munich’s Königsplatz in 2019 and took part in the same year with Michael Schulte (30), who also owes his career to “The Voice” has a song on. In autumn 2020 Mimi & Josy sang the title song for the film “Jim Knopf und die Wilde 13”, which the sisters had composed themselves.

Carlotta Truman

For Carlotta Truman, the “The Voice Kids” stage in 2014 was not the first big platform on which she demonstrated her talent. In 2009, at the age of nine, she applied to “Das Supertalent” and made it to the finals. Her journey with “The Voice Kids” was similarly successful: again she made it to the finals and came second in the team of Revolverheld frontman Johannes Strate (41). Most people know Truman as half of the duo S! Sters together with Laura Kästel (28). The band represented Germany in the final of the “Eurovision Song Contest” in 2019. Unfortunately, it was only enough for the penultimate place there.

Keanu Rapp

From “The Voice Kids” to social media star. 19-year-old Keanu Rapp also followed this path. In 2015 he convinced both Mark Forster (38) and Johannes Strate of his talent in the blind auditions, but he also did not make it past the battles. The teenager is now thrilling his fans on social media – over 750,000 people follow him on Instagram alone. Since then he has also been producing his own music. On April 2nd he released his single “Fantasy”. This year he returned to “The Voice Kids”: As an online presenter, he offered viewers exclusive backstage insights.
