The Voice: Mika’s big blunder this year, Vianney spills the beans!

An essential face of the international music scene, Mika has established himself in France as one of the emblematic jurors of tele-hook The Voice on TF1. Appearing for the first time in the famous rotating red chairs of the show during the third season of the program in 2014, the singer from Lebanon immediately established himself, winning the tele-hook with his talent that year.

During this edition, Mika was the coach of Kendji Girac, who literally flew over the competition against his opponents. While the musician of gypsy origin saw his career explode after this success, Mika continued his collaboration with the production of The Voice for a few years. After leaving the show to devote himself to other projects, the musician finally made his comeback to the TF1 talent show this season.

In search of new musical discoveries, Mika, however, made a small mistake during the recording of the traditional blind auditions this year. It was his friend and competitor Vianney who spilled the beans during an interview with the magazine TV Star. Having himself broke his red armchair twice in the past, a fact that the magazine’s journalists reminded him of, Vianney revealed that Mika did just as much this year! The vagaries of the profession, the production of which certainly did not hold it against him!

During this same interview, Vianney revealed why he has always returned to the jury of The Voice over the last few seasons. “It’s true that the time it takes, while I have work in the studio, comes into play. This year, the experience still excited me enough for me to go back“, underlined the artist. The latter had in particular drawn a line on tours and concerts to spend more time with his family and in particular Edgar, the 2 and a half year old little boy he had with his wife Catherine Robert.
