Third title in the RPG franchise, Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden has just had its release date set for September 13, 2022. The game, published by Square Enix, will be available on PC via Steam as well as on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
If it is indeed the third episode of the series, The Beasts of Burden intends to offer an experience completely independent of the previous stories. So don’t worry if you’re just discovering the world of Voice of Cards.
Through a universe illustrated by cards, Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden will take place in a world where monsters and humans have clashed for almost a thousand years. You will play a young girl who has lost her home to monsters and is determined to get revenge.
The great novelty of this third installment lies in its gameplay. It will now be possible to trap monsters defeated during your adventure in maps and reuse them later. They will thus complete your arsenal of skills during the fights to come.
In addition to its basic version, the title will also offer a Digital Deluxe Edition which will include, in addition to the game, several downloadable objects inspired by the RPG NieR Re[in]complexion. It will include, among other things, new costumes for the heroine and her companions, as well as new visuals of the set and accessories. Finally, a pawn visual as well as a card back will be offered to all players purchasing the game before October 3, 2022.
