The Voice of Germany: Anniversary season has some innovations ready

This Thursday, "The Voice of Germany" starts its tenth season. This is what fans can expect in the music show.

The new season of "The Voice of Germany" (from October 8th at 8:15 pm on Thursdays on ProSieben and Sundays on Sat.1) is eagerly awaited: Because the music show is in its tenth season. ProSiebenSat.1 relies on the tried and tested concept, but has come up with a few innovations for the anniversary.

The coaches

For the first time, six coaches will take a seat on the red chair and use a buzzer to turn around for the best singing talents. Silbermond front woman Stefanie Kloß (35, "Das Beste") and singer Yvonne Catterfeld (40) form the first female double chair. In addition, the Finnish singer Samu Haber (44) and his Irish colleague Rea Garvey (47) will combine their concentrated musical knowledge on one chair. Next to this, "The Voice of Germany" veteran Mark Forster (37) will take a seat, as will Nico Santos (27), who last year offered candidates who were supposedly eliminated as an online coach a second chance on his comeback stage.

Comeback stage

This year, the Comeback Stage will take on a different, well-known "The Voice" face: the digital spin-off "The Voice: Comeback Stage by SEAT" will be presented by Michael Schulte (30). In the first season of the music show, the singer took third place. It is a great honor for him to return as a coach, Schulte said in a statement. "I think that no other coach can empathize so well how the talents feel, what pressure you are under and how excited you are." In the end, his talents will compete against the other candidates on the show and compete for a place in the finals.

The all stars

Not only Schulte's talents get a second chance: This year candidates from previous seasons will also step on the stage again. There are ten talents that the viewer will particularly remember. In each of the nine blind auditions of season ten, at least one Allstar will try to get the coaches to turn around again. "I believe in second chances," said Pamela Falcon, who was introduced as one of the Allstars last Monday. Falcon had to draw the short straw in the first season in a duet with colleague Percival on "Purple Rain". For Alex Hartung it was "absolutely amazing" to be back at the show, said the second all-star announced, who in season four was the first rapper to thrill "The Voice".

The fifth buzzer

In the anniversary season there will also be an additional offer in the digital fan world of "The Voice of Germany": At the same time as each appearance, viewers have the opportunity to virtually build their own dream team. Just like the coaches in their chairs, the viewer can put together an 18-person team on the show's website until the end of the blind auditions and follow their career to the end.
