The future father Thore Schölermann will miss the end of the current season of “The Voice of Germany”. Replacement is provided.

Thore Schölermann (37) announced last Sunday that he would be absent from the ProSiebenSat.1 music show “The Voice of Germany” for the last two editions of the current season. “You will be back next Sunday, unfortunately I won’t – because I’m going to be a dad and I would like to be with my wife,” he said at the end of the program. The semifinals and the final on the next two Sundays (December 12 and 19, 8:15 p.m. on Sat.1) does not have to be contested by his co-presenter Lena Gercke (33) alone.

A broadcaster announced in response to a request from spot on news that Melissa Khalaj (32) will step in in the semifinals and Steven Gätjen (49) in the finals. Besides Schölermann, Khalaj is already moderating “The Voice Kids”. Many should know her as the presenter of “Celebrity Big Brother – The Late Night Show” at the side of Jochen Bendel (54). Gätjen is a popular ProSieben face and is currently moderating “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben”.

Thore Schölermann has been the moderator of “The Voice of Germany” since 2012. Since 2013 he has also moderated the children’s version “The Voice Kids”. He is currently expecting his first child with his wife Jana Schölermann (34). In September they announced that they were going to have a daughter. The two actors and presenters have been married since 2019. They met and fell in love in 2010 on the set of the ARD soap “Verbotene Liebe”, which was discontinued in 2015.

The mother-to-be recently stated in an Instagram story that the birth will most likely have to be initiated due to pregnancy cholestasis and that it could “happen any day”. The calculated due date is actually the end of December.
