The Voice of Germany: Rapper Sido will no longer be there

In the ninth season of "The Voice of Germany" (ProSieben / Sat.1) rapper Sido (39, "Mein Block") took a seat on one of the coveted coach chairs. He will no longer be there in the upcoming season of the casting show. Both the rapper and the broadcaster group have confirmed this, as the daily newspaper "Mannheimer Morgen" reports.

"They fired me," the 39-year-old surprisingly reported to 2,500 fans during a performance at the Mannheim Autokino Carstival on Thursday evening. "Sido will not be part of the 'The Voice of Germany' anniversary series," a ProSieben spokesman also confirmed on request.

New constellation in preparation

The broadcaster did not give exact details of the reasons. "The constant change in the most sought-after chairs on German television is part of the # TVOG concept," it said. A new coach constellation is being prepared for the upcoming season. In 2019, singer Claudia Emmanuela Santoso (19) from the team of pop musician Alice Merton (26) won the show.
