In the new "The Voice of Germany" episode, Mark Forster quickly sets up a new double team. But how did co-coach Elke come about?
Two against one was already unfair in the schoolyard. And as a coach at "The Voice of Germany", lone fighter Mark Forster (37) believes he is at a disadvantage this season with two competing double chairs. The answer to that offers plenty of comedy. After a talent decides in the direct coach fight for a double team and thus against Forster in the new episode, the latter struggles with his solo fate: "Why is it, is it because I'm alone? Forster then grabs one of the cardboard figures that are sitting in the studio instead of a real audience due to the corona pandemic, baptizes her unceremoniously "Elke" and promotes her to his co-coach: "I want to announce that from now on there is no longer Team Mark . From now on there is only Team Mark and Elke. Elke and I are now the new double chair at 'The Voice of Germany'. This is a world premiere. There are now three double chairs, ladies and gentlemen. "
Just one more solo coach
So basically only coach Nico Santos (27) is sitting there alone. Silbermond front woman Stefanie Kloß (35, "Das Beste") and singer Yvonne Catterfeld (40) form the first female double chair. In addition, the Finnish singer Samu Haber (44) and his Irish colleague Rea Garvey (47) combine their concentrated musical knowledge on one chair – and now Mark and Elke too.
The real person behind Mark Forster's new cardboard comrade should more than please the unexpected fame. Because each and every one of the cardboard guests in the studio are fans of the talent show who sent in their picture during an action for the new "The Voice" season in order to be at least symbolically present in times of the Corona crisis.
