The Voice: why was Auna forced to cover a song by Louane during the auditions?

Saturday evening, viewers discovered the gravelly and powerful voice of Auna, who covered “Donne-moi ton coeur” by Louane to seduce the coaches. A song that the 23-year-old young woman had not initially chosen but which was imposed on her by the production…

Auna was a hit on Saturday evening at the blind auditions of The Voice. Vianney, Bigflo and Oli, Mika and Zazie all turned around during the performance of the 23-year-old, who sang the song perfectly Give me your heart from Louane.

Auna wanted to sing Adele

The five coaches were particularly sensitive to Auna’s unique voice. Surprisingly, it wasn’t nature that gave him this gift… “I got sick with Covid. I never wanted to go to the doctor. I ended up with an infection in my vocal cords and a voice much more serious,” she explained during the blind auditions of the singing competition.

“It’s the most beautiful thing that has come out of Covid,” Mika then replied. It is also thanks to her song that Auna managed to seduce the coaches. The Toulouse woman, however, had a completely different idea in mind: before participating in The Voice, she wanted to sing Adèle. “This artist is a real religion for me,” she confided to our colleagues at Télé-Loisirs.

During her castings in Paris, Auna finally proposed a remix of Give me your heart with Woman like u from Kamaro. Production put a stop to it. “I liked it, but I wasn’t allowed to sing a mashup on the show,” she explained to Télé-Loisirs. “The production then told me that I had to sing in French and that they believed in me on Louane’s song.” A winning bet for Auna who chose to join Zazie’s team.
