The Vybe nobank closes its doors

The nobank Vybe was placed in compulsory liquidation in mid-July. Within two months, the 40,000 customers will no longer have access to its services. To accompany their departure, Vybe invites adults to open an account with Lydia and minors with Kard.

Vybe, it’s over. The nobank was placed in mid-July in compulsory liquidation, as revealed by the daily The echoes in its edition of July 28. The 40,000 customers will no longer have access to services within two short months. So where will they go?

The Vybe nobank has so far offered the opening of a mobile account accessible from 13 years old. Even if it was mainly aimed at minors (but possible opening for adults), it was a real current account with a Mastercard card and a management application. All free, unlike its competitors Pixpay, Kard and Xaalys. But this model does not seem to have proven itself.

Adults at Lydia and minors at Kard

Following the judicial liquidation, customers will no longer have access to the various services of the nobank, who will have to open an account elsewhere. The 40% of Vybe’s adult customers are invited to open a Lydia Bleu account and will benefit from a promotional code. As for minors, they will, following a decision of the Commercial Court of Nanterre, be redirected to their competitor Kard.
