At the San Diego Comic-Con this year not only a trailer for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” was shown. The second season of the TWD spin-off starring Norman Reedus was also announced. In addition, convention visitors could look forward to a 20-minute excerpt from the first episode of “Darly Dixon”.

The first ten minutes have now also been released for the general public. It can officially only be seen via AMC+, the AMC streaming service from the USA. You can also subscribe to AMC+ in Germany using a simple trick, but it’s a little easier to see the excerpt right now.
The Walking Dead franchise has a very loyal fan base, which is why the opening minutes of TWD: Daryl Dixon have already been released on YouTube. You can watch them below, but the video may be deleted soon.
This is what happens in the first few minutes of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”
Daryl is washed ashore in southern France at the beginning of the first episode. He finds the recording of a Brit trying to find a safe place to live with his family, but he reports that his wife has died and his daughter is not coping with the situation.
Alone, Daryl moves further inland through France and discovers a supposedly empty warehouse, which he combs through for food. But it quickly turns out that numerous undead are loitering in the hall.
They’re not normal zombies, as Daryl discovers. They are exuding acid when a stray touches Daryl, blowing his skin at the spot. The further consequences of the spin-off will probably have to explain why there are caustic zombies in France. The series will start in the USA on September 10, 2023. In Germany, it will probably appear on MagentaTV with a slight delay.
