The Walking Dead spin-off starring Rick and Michonne gets the go-ahead for filming. US broadcaster AMC also publishes the first pictures from the set. Here’s a taste of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira’s long-awaited reunion.

Rick and Michonne are reunited on the set of their own The Walking Dead spin-off. US broadcaster AMC announces that filming with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira began on February 13, 2022 in New Jersey.
They also released the first photos from the set – Michonne and Rick hand in hand and set chairs with the character names of the two.

The spin-off does not yet have an official title. Initially, three films were to be released around the popular couple, until it was announced in 2022 that a six-part series will explain what happened to Rick.
Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world built on a war against the dead… and ultimately a war against the living. In a place and situation they have never known before, can they find each other and who they were? Are they enemies? lovers? Victim? Winner? Are they even alive without each other – or will they find out that they too are part of the Walking Dead?
Official series description
However, the new TWD series is not scheduled to start until 2024. First expected and in May the final season of “Fear the Walking Dead”, in June “The Walking Dead: Dead City” with Negan and Maggie and the spin-off “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”, which will be released at the end of 2023.
