The Walking Dead: The Daryl Dixon spin-off will introduce a new species of zombies!

Norman Reedus has revealed that the zombies that will appear in the ‘Daryl Dixon’ spin-off will be even more fearsome than those in the original ‘The Walking Dead’ series.

Can you imagine a creature more dangerous than an undead devourer of human flesh? Apparently yes, according to comments made by director (and special effects legend) Greg Nicotero during an interview with our colleagues from TV Insider !

Norman Reedus will be on September 10 in the credits of Daryl Dixon, a spin-off following the horror series The Walking Dead. In this new adventure, the title hero of the program will travel to France to face formidable new enemies, including a brand new form of zombies!

“These zombies have evolved to the point that if they touch you or bite you, or their blood infects you, you will burn significantly” revealed during this interview Greg Nicotero, adding that this new aspect “will change all the rules of survival”. Pyromaniac zombies, it is indeed unheard of in the genre!

Last spring, a first spin-off titled Dead City brought together Maggie and Negan. This unlikely duo had formed to infiltrate the confined island of Manhattan, to end the reign of terror of a gang led by the Croat, a former member of the Saviors clan once led by Negan.

A third spin-off will also be released in 2024. Entitled The Ones Who Live, this mini-series dedicated to the duo Rick Grimes and Michonne was originally developed as a trilogy of films. But it is finally on television that the epilogue of the story of the sheriff played by Andrew Lincoln will be broadcast.

While the Daryl Dixon series will be broadcast in the United States on AMC from September 10, uncertainty still hangs in France since the program does not yet have an official broadcaster!
