Rick and Michonne soon back in the universe of The Walking Dead. The two characters played by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira will indeed be at the heart of the new spin-off The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and, as evidenced by the new trailer for the series, they are willing to do anything to be reunited.

A story of love and zombies

This new spin-off is the third to hit the small screen since the end of the parent series The Walking Dead in 2022, but it is perhaps one of the most anticipated.

Created by Scott M. Gimple, the boss of Walking Dead Universe at AMC, the series will in fact be marked by the return of two key characters from The Walking Dead : Rick and Michonne Grimes.

According to the official description of this spin-off, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live tell “the epic love story between two beings changed by a transformed world”. It will therefore be a question of knowing if, in a universe at war as much against the dead as against the living, Rick and Michonne will manage to find each other.

As a reminder, Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira both left The Walking Dead before the end of the series. Rick disappeared in season 9 and Michonne went looking for him in season 10.

A chaotic distribution in France

To date, we still do not know who will broadcast this new spin-off in France, even if its arrival in France is beyond doubt. At the time of the broadcast of The Walking Deadit is the OCS channel which seemed to have control over the franchise in France, but this has not been the case for several years now.

Recent spin-offs The Walking Dead: Dead City And The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon have for their part arrived with different broadcasters in our country. The first can be found on OCS, the second on Paramount+.

Before that, the other spin-offs (like Tales of the Walking Dead And Fear the Walking Dead) however appeared on OCS, Canal+, and even Prime Video. In short, suffice to say that the franchise The Walking Dead is torn between French broadcasters.
