The Walking Dead: these dead characters that fans have forgotten

Before the broadcast of the last episodes of The Walking Dead on OCS on October 3, a look back at all these characters who have fallen over the 11 seasons.

It’s almost the end of the adventure for Maggie, Negan, Daryl and all the others. Season 11 of The Walking Dead, which started on August 23 on OCS, will soon end and with it the main series. Divided into three parts, season 11 resumes with episode 17 next October 3 on OCS and it will close a now cult series that has made the zombie genre more popular than ever. After more than 10 years of broadcasting and a handful of spin-offs in progress or in preparation, the universe of The Walking Dead marked the television landscape. And if so many fans followed the adventures of Rick Grimes, Carol Peletier, Maggie Greene and others, it is thanks in particular to unforgettable characters… for most of them in any case. Characters who, unfortunately, have not all survived the cruel pen of the writers of The Walking Dead who adapted the comics by Robert Kirkman. Without making the complete list of all those who have died since the first season, Télé Star invites you to come back to some deaths from the first seasons who deserve to be remembered.

In season 1, Amy may not have impressed the fans of The Walking Dead, but the real ones will know that his death had an impact on the development of one of the main characters of the first seasons. Because Amy was Andrea’s little sister and part of the original group of Atlanta survivors who took in Rick, Lori and Carl at the very beginning of the series. Although her character has not really had the opportunity to make an impression, Amy’s death remains difficult because unexpected in addition to being one of the first big deaths of The Walking Dead. This tragic event later helped build Andrea’s character and may explain why she became more distant with the other survivors afterwards.

Ed Peletier’s death made Carol a true survivor

Another big death in Season 1 had no immediate consequences, but allowed one of the key characters to The Walking Dead to fully develop and survive until Season 11. This isEd Peletier, the violent husband of Carol Peletier. Also present in the core group, the Peletier couple quickly showed their flaws through Ed’s abusive behavior. It is, among other things, thanks to his death that his wife Carol was able to become the badass survivor who fans now know since she was the one who smashed his head with a pickaxe before he turned into a zombie.

Died in season 4, Lilly Chamberler did not make an impression, yet Tara’s sister had a key role before her death in season 4: it was she who bought Philip Blake, better known as the Governor. This big villain, one of the greatest antagonists of The Walking Dead, was the source of real carnage in the prison plot. However, he ends up being pierced by Michonne’s katana but it is Lilly who, with the Governor’s weapon, kills him once and for all to avenge the death of her daughter.

In season 5, one of the most disgusting deaths was for the character of Noah, which few fans may remember. He was, however, part of a crucial plot: that of the hospital in which Beth, Maggie Greene’s sister, was taken prisoner for some time. It’s partly thanks to Noah that Beth nearly escaped, but it’s also partly thanks to because of him she was brutally killed by Dawn. After successfully integrating with the group of survivors of Rick, Glenn and the others, Noah will unfortunately end up completely torn apart by zombies after getting stuck in a turnstile.

It’s in season 6 of Denise is dead, and if some fans have already forgotten her, Télé Star is here to remind you of her presence – and not only because she is embodied by the talented Merritt Wever. Killed by an arrow right in the eye intended at the base for Daryl Dixon, Denise was one of the first victims of the coming war against the Saviors and their leader, the famous Negan. His death marked the beginning of a long list to which would be added names much more difficult to forget, in particular that of Glenn Rhee.

Finally jessie wasn’t perhaps the friendliest of characters, but her death in season 6 had something to mark, if not the fans of the series, at least Rick Grimes. Yes, because after his arrival in Alexandria with his group, Rick started a romantic relationship with Jessie and was able to reconstitute, for a time, a semblance of normal life behind the protective walls of his new community. Unfortunately Jessie succumbed to a zombie invasion and ended up, like many other characters and especially her son Sam, completely devoured.
